Hi, I’m Dana—passionate home cook, web developer by day, and someone who knows firsthand what it’s like to navigate life with celiac disease. My journey with food has been anything but simple, but it’s taught me that what we eat has the power to heal, restore, and transform our lives.
My Story
For years, I struggled with digestive issues, pain, and the frustration of constantly wondering if the food I ate would make me sick. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I had to completely relearn how to eat, finding ways to make meals that were not just gluten-free but also delicious, comforting, and nourishing.
That’s where Healing Plate was born. My best friend Ashley, a fitness enthusiast and gut-health advocate, encouraged me to share my recipes and experiences with others who are on the same journey. Together, we created a space where flavor meets function, proving that gluten-free food doesn’t have to be boring—it can be healing, satisfying, and full of life.
